We have been told that the inner axle boot on passenger's side is torn. Dealer wants $285 to change it so that tells me it's less than a 3 hour job. My problem is I can't find anything in Chilton's about it. Is this something I can handle - my friend has a lift in his garage.

Hi spschultz, Labor time is listed at 1.4 hour for replacement of the boot.

You would have to remove the axle shaft to replace the boot.
