WHILE CLEANING THE INTERIOR ON THE PASSENGER SIDE UNDER I SAW TWO GREEN PLUG THAT SEEMED THAT NEEDED TO BE CONNECTED. SO I CONNECTED THEM. WHEN I STARTED THE CAR THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. I UNPLUGGGED THE CONNECTION AND THE LIGHT IS OFF. MY QUESTION IS THIS ARETHESE PLUGS USED FOR DIAGNOSTIC NEEDS OR SHOULD THEY BE CONNECTED AND NOW I HAVE A PROBLEM.

The wires are not for diagnostic. Without seeing exactly what they are, I can't say. But, if you take the car to a nationally recognized parts store and have the computer scanned, it should provide a trouble code (since the light was on). If they are unable to get a code, reconnect the wires and then have them check it.

Let me know what you find.
