1998 Subaru Legacy won't crank over

1998 Subaru Legacy 4 cyl All Wheel Drive Automatic

I replaced my alternator, and battery checks out fine. But I can only get the car to start by jumping it. It doesn't even attempt to turn over with no cables.

Double check your connections. Make sure they are clean and tight.
