I just had my brakes checked on my car and told the mech same thing. He said the wheel well had plastic that came loose that when I turned the wheel that way engaged with the plastic making that clicking noise. He secured the plastic and no more clicking.

It could be as simple as the plastic up in the wheel well or it could be lack of lube in your cv boot. You may need to have that checked out. My cv boot was torn in my 98 legacy and it was cheaper to just replace that part of the axle. If you go to an after market place the axle isnt that bad its just having it put in. I bought the part for about $60 including core. Have a mechanic check it out. Hopefully its not too serious! Good Luck!
