1993 Subaru Legacy Engine Size unknown All Wheel Drive Automatic

Hi,

I am trying to replace the starter in a 1993 Subaru Legacy and cannot determine the size of the bolt that holds it in place. Can you tell me what size socket I need to use to remove it?

Thanks,
Terri

For the 1993 Subaru Legacy, the bolts that hold the starter in place typically require a 14mm socket. There are usually two bolts securing the starter: here is how the change the starter out with the location as well. Please check out this video
