1991 Subaru Legacy need help with a 91 Legacy wagen.

Hi,
The problem I am having is my car, acts like it is mis-firing one of the cylinders. I replaced my plugs and wires. Yes it til is doing it. It just happened one day while sitting at a stop light. This is so bad, that I had to increase the idle to keep it from dying at stop lights. The check engine light does intermittently come on then go off.

please please! Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

I had the same problem at about 125,000 miles with my 1991 Legacy 2.2L. It turned out to be a bad fuel injector. Once replaced, problem solved.

FYI - car may run poorly, but you won't get stuck on the road by this problem.
