1991 Subaru Legacy 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

when I started my car I smelled a LOT of gasoline. It started up fine and I was able to drive it for approx 3 blocks and when I pulled out into traffic I felt the gas pedal pull toward the floor board, heard kind of a "pop" and then my car died. It turns over and sounds like it is going to start then it chokes and nothing. No smell of gas now tho.

Hi aloucks87,

Thank you for the donation.

You would need to check/test to determine what is missing causing the problem.

It could be ignition sparks, fuel delivery or mechanical.

The following link has explanations on what to look for. Go through and let me know what you find.
