1991 Subaru Legacy Bellhousing

How do you seperate the bellhousing from the trans. once all the bolts and nuts are off. There seems to be something else preventing it from seperating. There isn't any threaded holes (like a brake drum setup) to force it apart. Thank for your response. Mel

Hi there.

if all mounting bolts are removed including the starter and the torque converter bolts the Gear box will separate easily. You still may have a bolt attached have a good look you should not have to lever much at all if every thing is undone.
