1999 Subaru Impreza overheating and bubbling from epansion

Bought this car aweek ago and did a compression test on it 2 was on 12 bar and the other was on 7 bar I used an engine block sealer on it and it still smokes out of the exhaust and blows the expansion cap lid off is the head gasket the only problem it has or is there a problem with the water pump

Sounds more like a blown head gasket.
