1993 Subaru Impreza 4 cyl All Wheel Drive Manual 176K miles

2 problems,possibly related?
Car clicks when you try to start it. Battery is new and alternator has correct ampage. Also,I put in new headlight bulbs and I have no highbeams and the driver side light is dim.

sounds like a bad starter, try hitting the starter while trying to crank it. This is if it sounds like the starter is clicking. There is a short or break in the starter causing it not to function correctly.
