My vehicle has DTRL

How does one tell if they have a positve gound swictched sysytem or a a side switched system?

Don't understand what your asking. Do you mean positive ground vs. negative ground? Talking about computer controled devices?

Looking to buy headlight and taillight flashers. My vehicle has DTRL's

They want to know if I got a "positive or a ground side switched vehicle"

Looking at Galls Parts XY-FS 001 thru 6 and don't know which apply's.

Customer service gal has not a clue.

O.K. no what they are asking problem Subaru does not release wiring info for two years so 2008 model best i have.And it is positive controled on high intensity and ground controlled on non high intensity. Have you tried calling Subaru dealer? I'll see what i can find out
