2008 Subaru Forester white powder

when the AC was on today it looked like a white powder was coming out of one of the vents when I accelerated. What is this - a cause for alarm?

Would you say more like a fog or a solid like powder?

it was more of a fog - just lasted a few seconds and then quit - then would happen aagain 5 minutes later.

This is fog, i would say that the A/C drain is a bit blocked and you have excessive moisture in the air bob and on the evaporator, check the drain tube is clear first.
