2003 Subaru Forester air vent veins

how do I take the plastic air vent out of the dash because the little directional veins inside are not turning when you try to adjust the direction of the air.

If you have the replacement one take a look at it.That way you can see how it is held in.My software doenst have instructions for that procedure.They usually just pop in and out of the dash
