My Forester drinks alot! 250miles per £50/50 litres
Surely this is excessive, seems a bit gutless most of the time and when I drive with the back door open (in the fields) it stinks of amonia. Any ideas ? Could it be a stuck auto choke? Filters are clean, good tyres and relaxed driver.

For that mileage you have -when was the last time you have it tuned-up-don't recall try tuning it up and see what happens
