1. Raise and support vehicle.
2. Using floor stands under axle assembly, raise axle to relieve load on shock absorber.
3. Remove shock absorber lower nut, retainer, and bushing from spring plate.
4. Remove shock absorber upper nut and bolt, then shock absorber from vehicle.
5. Reverse procedure to install, torquing all bolts/nut to specifications.
