Stops when hot or after driving a little while

You need to report back to the shop that installed the transmission and have them correct the issue.

Thanks alot. There is also an issue where the gear shifter is moving up and down by itself. Both in idle and when driving.

And i must point out that the stopping issue has been happening for the past two years. So even with the old transmission it was happening.

What you're describing is a common symptom of a plugged or collapsing pickup screen inside the fuel tank. They will stretch out and allow fuel to pass after sitting for five to ten minutes. To verify this, attach a fuel pressure gauge. I've been through this three times with two cars. Normal fuel pressure varies between 45 to 55 pounds on my '88 Grand Caravan. When this problem occurs, it will gradually drop to 20 pounds. The first symptom shows up, surging, then stalling, when the pressure drops to 15 pounds. Some engines will not run properly when fuel pressure drops as little as five pounds below specs.

I run the test gauge's hose under the rear edge of the hood, then I clip the gauge under the right wiper arm, or I tie it to the radio antenna, so I can watch it while driving.

Sure. Ok. When we checked the gas tank. The only thing we saw was the pump. Could the screen be inside the pump?

They wanted to be sure before pulling the apart

The screen can be on the inside or outside of the pump, it might have fallen off and is still in the tank, use a flashlight and look around.
