I actually drive a Venga, but this model was not listed in the selection given.
Since owning this car (1 year and one month) the stop/start button has never worked. The car has been in the Kia garage four times. The first three visits, the battery was charged up (even overnight), without a result. Whilst on my last visit the battery was actually changed! But stop/start still does not work, even though it is above five degrees C and I have driven it over fifteen minutes! I called Kia and the answer I get is: the car can taken uptown eight hours of driving for it to be reconfigured as a new battery has been placed! I find this hard to believe and just think it is another excuse not to deal with the problem. Can someone with the appropriate mechanical engineering background confirm if the reply I received is correct, or otherwise how I should be approaching this ongoing issue?

Thanks for the model Venga update I have added it to the data base. I would say there is an issue with the starter. When you say the start stop button does not work do you mean the engine will not crank over? And if so does the security light flash?

If you get the engine started does the start stop button not turn the engine off?

Please let us know

Cheers, Ken
