More times than not when I change gears it is stiff. Sometimes (rarely) it shifts just fine, but mostly it is stiff. It does shift and my clutch is fine. I have changed my transmission fluid and cranked a few turns on the shifter linkage. But its still shifting stiff. Any ideas on what might be causing it an how I can fix it?

if it is not a bad shifting cable which it could be then it may be in transmission. The only way I know to check that is try lubing cable on transmission end see if it helps. use a white grease for it. it can be purchased in a spray can.
