Stereo system going crazy

2001 HONDA ACCORD
100,332 MILES • 2.3L • 6 CYL • 4WD • AUTOMATIC

The display on the stereo system is partial, can only change stations every now and then and I am unable to use CD or tape player. When very little is shown in display can only adjust volume, but can change station manually using knob or control on steering wheel. Help!

This is a common problem with stereos, the circuit broad inside ends up shorting out. The unit will need to be replaced
