Steering wheel locking mechanism

As long as you have the 2 speed transfer case that you can put the vehicle into neutral then it can be flat towed. However, you also need a kit that is offered by a lot of aftermarket companies that powers the vehicle while being flat towed so that you have brake light operation, steering is not locked, and brake assist (if required in your state). Unfortunately there is not a way to disable the steering lock by taking it apart. Basically this kit does the same thing but when you get to the destination, you just unhook it and your vehicle operates normally.

Most OEM's offer this kit as well so you may want to check with the dealer as they may have a better option.
