Hi Ellen,
Most of the time an alignment will address steering wander. Most of the time unless there is something loose or worn out on the suspension, wander is caused by excessive caster in your alignment set up. This is where the steering axis is leaning to far toward the rear of the vehicle and needs to be raised back more toward the centerline. When it is too far positive your steering has a tendency to follow the contours of the road and it requires you to constantly adjust the steering.
