I replaced my steering coupler. In the process the steering shaft and column came apart. Now it’s very misaligned and the steering wheel won’t go up or down. How do I fix this and get the steering shaft and column aligned again?

Be careful when dealing with the steering column because if you overturn the shaft, it can break the clock spring behind the steering wheel which will cause the SRS lights to come on and the steering wheel controls not to work. It looks like the shaft only goes together one way at the steering column, but there is a spline on the rack which is wear it must be off. I don't know what you are saying the "steering wheel won’t go up or down" can you explain is this the tilt? Check out the images (below). Let us know how it goes.
