Steering locking up and engine cutting out when turning bends

When going round round about or certain corners my KA steering wheel becomes very stiff and near impossible to drive. Along with this the engine cuts out completely, doesn't stall just...off and that's it.
The battery and oil light came on also.

Thought it might be power steering fluid or oil but changed both and still happens. Please help, recently bought and has 9 months MOT left!

try lubing the front end if you can then have it checked. it may be a fuel issue as well so check yru fuel pressure with a gauge. However we dont' have that model in the U.S. here so these are just generic answers.
