Hi Guys, I have been facing this problem for sometime on my car fd4 electric power steering. There is a kok kok kok sound when turning steering wheel stationery
have already overhauled suspension, including strut, bushing, top and lower mount. However, there is still this sound.
when car is jacked up, turning steering wheel does not produce this sound
any body encounter this?

There is a tsb on this for a vehicle under 150,000 miles and not been salvaged by insurance company. It has to deal not with noise but hard to turn and has to have a certain code stored in computer. The noise you are hearing may be the steering shaft hitting something or a bad box. With wheels up no pressure is on it so it is easier. You should check with a dealer on this to see if it qualifies.
