Steering column bearing?

I am scheduled for service, but don't know if it's safe to drive until it gets fixed. I was told it's a bad steering column bearing, waiting for the part but not sure if that's okay.

Hi,

This should be done by a dealer since it is under warranty. Here is what I suggest. I would contact the dealer and see if they indicate a concern. Not being there to drive it makes it difficult for me to say.

Also, since this would appear to be a manufacturer defect, I would ask for a loaner.

Let me know what they tell you.
