Hello, I have vibration in the steering wheel and when jacked up there is play in the front nearside wheel, it pulls to the right. I know it's not the wheel balance.

Thanks

If you lift the front wheels, place your hands a 3 and 6 o'clock and find play, most likely you have a bad tie rod. Have a helper watch for where the play is coming from as you move the wheel back and forth. I attached a pic below and circled all components which can cause this. There are tie rods, an idler arm, pitman arm, and center link. See pic 1 and check all of those areas for play. Also, place your hands at 6 and 12 o'clock and check for play in the ball joints. These joints connect the control arm to the steering knuckle. If you look at pics 2 and 3, they show the part in an exploded view. Pic 2 is the upper and pic 3 is the lower ball joint.

Let me know what you find and I explain how to replace it.

Take care,
Joe
