The steering wheel has too much play. Very loose to drive.

Check under hood and have someone turn the steering wheel each way to see if there is a problem in the column. If you see the steering arm move back and forth going to the power steering then move to the steering link. If there is a lot of play in the steering I would definately take it somewhere you can get it off the ground and check the front end. Including the ball joints, the wheel bearing, idler arm and any other steering compodent. With the engine off try moving the wheels back and forth for any play.
