The first thing I would do is check the power steering fluid. Here is a video to show you how with instructions below for your car:

If the fluid level is okay chances are the pump has gone out, with the engine running remove the fluid reservoir to see if fluid is circulating and if not here is how to change the pump out. Here is the video of the job being done in a similar car, but the procedure is the same.

To check the fluid level, it should only take about 2 minutes, but the pump will take labor wise the book calls for.
