Checked Ignition switch, starter relay, starter and solenoid all okay. Battery is okay, so is alternator. All check out completely. Neutral safety switch was replaced in September 2018. I am the original owner. I have never run into this kind of fault before. Where should I look or do next?

When you were testing the starter control wire were you testing it when the engine was hot and not starting? We need to check voltage on the black wire at the starter while cranking when the issue is happening. I can only assume that we don't have voltage on this wire because if you have 12 volts on the red wire and on the black wire then the starter should turn.

If it is not, that is most likely the control side. Let's confirm this and then we can go backwards in the system until we find voltage and that will tell us where we are losing it.

Here is the wiring diagram for your review.

Yes, I tested the starter relay and ignition switch during a no crank condition. So the problem is on the control side. When engine will not crank, there is no voltage at the starter solenoid connector as I tested this lead while not connected to starter.

Also, is the wiring diagram available in a higher resolution? I printed this out but the labels are not all legible. By the way, thank you for your reply.

Okay. Great. That is progress. We just need to follow that line backwards until you do have it and that is the issue.

Sorry. The attachments do not print well. I zoomed in and split it up so that when you print it, you can follow it from page to page. Starts top left and works across to the right and then down. There is overlap so you can try to keep your place when going between pages.

Let me know if there are still issues with this and we can try a different source for the diagrams.

Thank you for your help. I called AAA twice and the technician demonstrated that the no crank condition was solved by simultaneously having me hold the ignition switch in the start position while the technician gently taps on the starter solenoid. Under this condition the engine started right away!
I replaced the rebuilt starter motor with a brand new starter motor at AutoZone. So far the problem has been solved in this way. I was also granted a refund of the purchase price of the rebuilt starter motor by AutoZone.
