Will not stay running?

The vehicles start but when taking your finger off the ignition it shuts off. it runs just long enough for one to two seconds.

Hi,

Does the engine stall immediately after releasing the key from the start to the run position? If it does, that may indicate an issue with the ignition switch itself.

Or does it run for a few seconds in the run position and then stall?
