My car starts, idles for about ten seconds then cuts out

My car starts, idles for about ten seconds then cuts out and will not restart only in the morning after standing overnight when it is cold. Otherwise it would start and run normally. Last night I started it at about 21:30 (very cold outside after I did not touch it for about six hours during the day)) and everything was fine. Drove it no problem. Next morning at 06:00 started first thing, idle for ten seconds then cuts out. Will not restart. I poured some gas into carburetor and it starts until gas runs out then cuts off and will not restart. Seems like fuel starvation, but why only in the cold morning? Even operates fine in cold evening.
