My truck cranks but does not start, it sounds like the starter slips? What do you the problem is?

It may be the starter drive is shot, when this happens vehicle will just start to fire and starter whines instead of continuing to turn it over. Replacement of starter is cure

If it's a carb it probably needs a carb overhaul due to alcohol in fuel. You can try to adjust the idle speed and check for vacuum leaks.

IS THERE A SPECIAL WAY TO CHECK FOR VACUME LEAKS. ANS HOW WOULD I KNOW IF ITS A CARB

Scan for codes first if you can see pic 1 for carb adjustment remove screw 25 and shoot choke cleaner in hole then blow out with air. Lightly seat screw and go out 1 and half turns. This is not a good pic of this carb so I thinkit's double arrow screw for idle. Carb should still be overhauled. Also this is a mikuni carb so may not be right as there are two different ones.
