You need to check for power at the main starter terminal (large cable) it should be twelve volts constant, and there should be twelve volts at the solenoid wire on the starter (small wire) only with the key on crank. If this is so have the starter removed and over hauled as it will probably be faulty. If no power at solenoid wire on crank, check terminal is clean and tight and if that is okay. Check for a problem at the ignition switch not switching. Does your car have a clutch switch? That is that the clutch needs to be pressed while starting. If so check this switch as well. Start here.
