Starter sounds like a faulty Bendix drive (slipping). I replaced the starter and the new one does exactly the same thing.. it does not have the metal sound like a faulty ring gear though. please help..

Hi,

This vehicle isn't offered in the US, so I have very limited technical information. However, I will try my best to help.

When you replaced the starter, were there any shims? Also, is it a grinding sound?

Here is a link that explains how the starter works. If there is a grinding, it could be a few teeth on the flywheel that are stripped or broken. Take a look.

Do me a favor. Record it cranking and upload it for me to hear. It may help.

Take care,
Joe
