All lights work, can hear fuel pump running it clicks and I hear a whine, no start. Just changed starter.

Hi,

Are the click and whine coming from the starter motor? Also, is this what it did with the old starter motor? Have you checked to make sure the battery terminals are clean and tight?

Let me know if the starter is engaging and turning the engine or if the starter does nothing but click.

Take care,

Joe

Hi,

Since the battery is good and the starter is new, I need you to check if the engine is locked.

Locate the crankshaft bolt and place a socket on the bolt and a breaker bar on the socket. See if you can turn the engine manually by hand. I'm questioning if the engine locked up. See pic below for crank bolt location. If you are standing at the front of the vehicle, it will be on the left where the serpentine belt is located.

Additionally, check to make sure the engine coolant is full, and the engine oil is clean and full.

Let me know what you find and if you have other questions.

Take care,

Joe
