Starts briefly after much cranking then shuts off suddenly, will not rev past 2,000 RPMs?

Hi there,

Also, when turning on the ignition there seems to be a lot of click in the engine coming from the starter relay, I've had a diagnostic reader pugged onto it and no faults come up.

Can you please shoot a quick video with your phone so I can hear the noise? That way I can tell for sure what's going on. You can upload it here with your response. Also, I would do a fuel pressure test because it sounds like the fuel pump is weak. You can rent a gauge set at the local auto parts store for cheap or free, please follow this guide to do the test:

Fuel Pressure .................... 379-393 kPa (55-57 psi)

This guide may help as well:

Please go over these guides and report back.
