Today the truck would not start, and the gauges are not working?

I replaced the ignition switch, ignition switch housing and I reset the security system. The truck ran fine for a couple of days. Today truck won't start, gauges aren't working but drive selector and mileage are working.

I have seen a shorted instrument cluster cause a no start issue. We need to check a few things, first when you turn the key on without cranking the engine over can you hear the fuel pump inside the fuel tank for about 5 seconds?
