Just replaced timing cover gaskets and valve cover gasket. Car will not start now. While cleaning my parts I did leave camshaft sensor submerged in water for a couple of days. Car worked perfectly fine before repair. Did the work because of an oil leak. The engine turns over but, the vehicle will not start.

Hello,

The first thing that comes to mind is the engine grounds. If they where not reinstalled after the job the engine will not start. Is the Security light flashing while you are cranking the engine over?

Please let us know.

Best, Ken

Well, I got the car to start by spraying starter fluid in the air intake. Would not run long but I am getting spark, crankshaft and camshaft sensors fine. I hear the fuel pump kick in when the ignition is turned on. Fuel in fuel rail. Looking for help.

Check fuel pressure with a gauge may be to low or the security system has messed up if you have a manual it will tell you how to reset on a land rover as we don't have that procedure. auto parts rent gauge see link.
