Hello my truck has had a problem with battery drain if not driven in couple days so installed new battery. Couple months down the road when starting if you hold the key in start position it will crank barely then starter will speed up to normal crank but no start. Turn key to off and try starting again it will fire right up. I have looked at all connections at starter and battery all looks fine. Sometimes the wipers will jump a little or will do a full swipe when starting truck and the wiper switch is in off position. I am thinking it may be a ignition switch issue. Any thoughts on this anyone? I would very much appreciate the help if anyone can! Thanks in advance, Heath

Good morning.

It sounds like you have voltage drop between the battery and the starter motor. I would carefully inspect the battery cables. If you can, do a voltage drop test on both cables.

Okay, I just watched a video on testing voltage drop. My dad is coming over to crank engine for me in a bit. I will post my findings either tonight or tomorrow after work. Thank you for your reply! We do have a issue with packrats here in the country so could very well be a wire issue.
