I replaced the lock cylinder and got two new keys for it and now it just says starting disabled and will not start I and I went through the whole programming process 10 minutes on 10 seconds off 10 minutes on 10 seconds off and the security light stays on and it says it's supposed to come off but it remains on the whole time so I just need to.

Hi,

How long did you wait to see if the light goes out? It could take a little longer. Also, my manual is showing me different info. It says wait 10 minutes until the security light goes off. Turn the key off and wait 5 seconds. Repeat 2 more times. The engine should start on the 4th attempt from off to crank.

See if the light does eventually go off. If it doesn't, you will need a scan tool that can process the relearn procedure.

Let me know.

Joe

The light never goes off it seems like you can leave it the key on for a long time and it just didn't never goes off so you think I need to get a scan tool to relearn the process or how's that work.

Hi,

I'm not sure why the light doesn't turn off. It should.

If you look below, I attached the directions for programming the theft deterrent system. Note the use of the scan tool.

Let me know your thoughts.

Joe
