I replaced timing belt, camshaft sensor, new camshaft sprocket, aligned all five timing marks for crankshaft and cam. Reconnected all connector. My question is, do the belts have to be installed (along with alternator) before engine starts?

No, you do not need to install the drive belts to start the vehicle up. Just make sure the timing belt is installed correctly and if there is any washer to hold the belt from sliding, make sure it is installed. If it starts up, let it idle for about ten minutes just make sure it runs okay. If it is good, then put everything back together with the drive belts.
