It has a hard time starting once it has been running it runs good starts just fine. Fuel pump is good replaced it 200 miles ago. It is having issues with oil in the radiator that is when this started. It never gets hot it runs good, just does not want to start. It used to start right up moved from Wyoming to Florida and started to have this problem. It is my only vehicle and I have five kids. I have to get to the bottom of it soon so I can get it fixed. Please help me. Thank you for any ideas or if someone has had this issue before.

Hi and thanks for using 2carpros.com

If you are getting engine oil into the cooling system, chances are you have either a bad head gasket or intake gasket. Either one could allow oil to contaminate the coolant. Confirm that there is no coolant mixing with the engine oil. If it is, you will see a thick creamy tan colored substance.

Lets start with a quick check of the head gasket. Take a look through this link. Follow the steps provided. Also, you will see what engine oil looks like if contaminated with coolant.

If that checks good, next we need to determine if the intake is leaking. Here is a link that shows how to check for engine vacuum leaks.

Let me know what you find.

Joe
