My car will start when cold, but only clicks when warm. I have to wait until it cools down before it starts.

Welcome to 2CarPros.

It sounds like the starter is bad or you have a weak connection. I am going to provide two links. The first explains how to confirm the battery is clean, tight, and connections are tight. The second will explain how to check if the starter is good.

Follow these and let me know what you find.

The second link, starter not working, explains in general how to test for power at the starter. If you check and find there is power and the starter only clicks, confirm all grounds are good and if they are, replace the starter.

Take care,
Joe
