Well it sounds like your starter motor is starting to fail. If you have a digital volt meter or test light, when the problem happens again here is what you will do.
Have some one hold the key in the run position when the car does not start and have them hold it. Measure for battery voltage at the solenoid wire or probe with test light and verify it lights up. If it does get that signal then the starter will need to be replaced.
