Suddenly shut off and will not restart

Car was idling fine in driveway. Then made a bad noise. Then shut off tried to start it back up. Nothing but clicking. Then tried to jump it made no difference.

Also pulled belt off to make sure nothing was locked up. All pullies moved . AC/alternator/smog/even big wrench on crank.. Everything seemed freed up.

The noise could have been the engine itself. There may have been a failure internally that made it stop.

Were you able to turn the engine by hand? Can you rotate it 360 degrees to be sure nothing is blocking it from turning?

Didn't turn that much. Just a little bit with a wrench.

Sounds like something broke inside the motor.

Most likely you will need to replace the engine with a used engine to get going again.
