No start problem

My car will not start. It sounds like it is flooded. My friend told me that black smoke comes out of the exhaust while I am attempting to start it. Without warning, one day it started, the next day it did not.

Spark plugs may well be fuel fouled now, i would replace the plugs if they have not been changed in a while, over large gaps with old spark plugs may be your problem here, try this first.

The gap was actually too close. After proper gap, car starts fine. Thank you.
