When attempting to start this vehicle a malfunction message appears on the screen?

When I strike try to start my vehicle, I have the ignition engaged my foot on the brake. It says malfunction on the screen. Could you please help me find out what’s wrong?

Hi,

That could be the result of several things. If you have checked the battery and it is good, the next step would be to scan the can-bus system.

CAN stands for controller area network. Basically, the different modules are tied together via a few wires. This type of scan will retrieve codes regardless of the module storing them.
