Starter wiring?

A man changed out the starter it has 2 wires going to the small stud and 2 going to the large stud and a black wire not hooked up. The battery light is on, and the battery ran down. The light came on as soon as he started it. I am just trying to figure out if the wiring is correct and which wires go to the right post and where the ground wire goes to please.

There is only one wire that goes to the small lug, the rest go on the power lug of the starter. here is a guide that can help:
