After watching YouTube and my retired mechanic neighbor, we figured the starter needs to be replaced. I need to do this myself in my parking space and I have the tools and jack. Looking at the schematic it looks like the catalytic converter is in the way. Do I need to remove it to get to the starter?

Hi,

You are correct. The catalytic converter on the left side needs to be removed. If you look below, I attached the directions for replacing it.

Also, I included the directions for removing the left-side catalytic converter.

Let me know if this helps or if you have other questions. Make sure to disconnect the battery prior to starting this job.

Take care,

Joe
