Need to replace my starter. I bought one. Car shops charge $600.00 to replace. Where is it located?

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros.com.

Before starting to work on the starter, make sure to disconnect the battery.

The starter on your vehicle is located on the driver's side of the engine. It is basically behind the exhaust manifold. To access one of the starter bolts, the exhaust manifold needs removed. Also, once the bolts are removed, I believe the engine will need supported so you can remove the motor mount on the same side. If it is not removed, you cannot slid the starter far enough to remove it from the engine. Ugh! Is all I can say.

Interestingly enough, removal and install information is not available from the manufacturer.

Regardless, I hope this helps. Let me know if you have questions or need help.

Take care,
Joe
